I have a 25 year old ETA movement in an older Baume & Mercier Riviera (date funtion only). I had the watch for close to 30 years and never had it serviced. I knew it was due, and sure enough today it started acting up. Anybody have a sense of what the service cost would be?

Anybody have any recommendations for service?

Any good independent watchmaker should be able to service it quickly and inexpensively. I wouldn’t expect to pay more than $300 USD.

Go for the local watchmaker! He will definitely do it in a low budget.
