This is very disappointing. However, I would much rather own a watch that only looks bad under macro than one that only looks good under macro. *ducks*

Does anyone know how to delete this thread?

I had a chat with my AD after sending them this link. I am asked to delete this thread immediately.

Not possible, only the forum admins or mods have that ability. Why would your AD care about a post on a forum that doesn’t mention them by name or location?

The Aquanaut is not a watch you buy and keep, it's a trading watch. You buy one from an AD, wear it for a while, then trade it for something else, taking advantage of the premium to MSRP. As such, there are no "end users" so no one should worry about the details of the finishing, movement, durability etc. It is a vehicle to a better place.
Chill, enjoy your Aquanaut and then flip it like everyone else does.

I don’t know why but I don’t think you are a typical Patek owner??

Alas, can't be deleted, yet MODs could choose to close it.

Please post uneven lume pics. Am sure PP wants to know about these defects rolling out of their factory.

Ha, AD asks me all the time to buy a Twenty-Four for my mother, mother-in-law, wife and daughter but they don't call the shots. I know that Patek ADs fashion themselves as stuck in time (pun intended), but this is the internet, which is basically forever. Shall I say rather more appropriately in this forum that the internet is perpetual?

You are asked to do what ? Let them hide the truth ? No , you say, up your game PP especially for the ridiculous price they charge and fix my watch assuming it is even a fluke and maybe PP might learn from this . Like a restaurant deleting bad reviews , when justified the bad review should help the place get better ....

The AD asking him to delete the thread is more akin to a restaurant manager fearing for his job because corporate won’t be happy if they find out which outlet that bad review online refers to...

Of course you can keep yours, just don't look at it too closely and try to stay away from threads like this one. Poisons the mind.

It's not at all the ADs fault, so PP should not do anything to said AD. Heck, before the whole CV19 closure I got a new Rolex, it was defective out of the box (sent it to RSC). NEVER would ever think of blaming the AD, not their fault at all.

This may be how lawsuits against a manufacturer may happen if AD loses their status over factory defects being posted for all to see. It is PPs production factory that needs to do better QC. Posts like the OP's aids the factory to find QC problems. PP should be thankful for the help in finding problems within their suppliers / manufacturing.

Still hoping to see a lume shot.

I'm guessing if OP is trying to delete the thread to appease his AD, the odds of you getting more damning pictures of quality issues is, um, pretty remote.

Curious why you shared this link with your AD. Of course, they would ask you to delete it. My concern is your contact with them about this thread may hurt your chances of getting more watches from them.

no worry about your watches as long your CT scans are clean

The AD allocates you a hard-to-get piece then you tell the world about QC issues ~ and on top of that you share the broadcast with the AD ... not a smart way of endearing yourself to the AD for the next hard-to-get piece.

I'm curious if the AD expressed what would happen if you don't delete this thread or can't.

If it actually would hurt your relationship with the AD, was there one to begin with?? Like mentioned above, they should be on your side trying to get you a better finished Patek. I can't believe Patek would be mad if the watch came back for repair. They prob. fix the issue and send it back.

Exactly my thoughts, what kind of advantage or positive outcome did OP expected to get by showing this thread to his AD?

I rushed to get my loupe to check my Aquanauts after seeing this thread. The loupe has a bright white light and was inexpensive (bought from Amazon). It magnifies 30x and 60x.

The hands of my 5167A and 5167R are definitely not finished like this.

the responses here from some people sometimes just make me wonder. Also, who can give OP flag for pointing this obvious shortcoming from PP out? You might not care about it - fine. but to say it's just a $20k watch so who cares is delusional. Sorry.
