Rolex OP double batons

Hello, I decided to buy an OP probably in size 41. I like the watch, although I would prefer there were no double indices. I know that no one knows this, but do you think Rolex will use double indices for a longer time, or, for example, in a year there may be an OP without them? I am asking for opinions. Thank you !

In a year? Highly unlikely. This is the dial design for the time being.

It's a way to recognize the 3-6-9 markers at a glance. Likely to be common on time only watches.

I like the double batons on the new OPs! In the dark the lume is really bright and that is one way it distinguishes itself from the Datejust.

I figure unique treatments of the 3/6/9 positions are part of the Rolex design language, e.g. Explorer.

I did not like them in the beginning but when I finally saw them in person they grew on me quite a bit. I think the dial color may have a lot to do with it

The 36 version has nice beveled edges around all sides of the markers. Looks better than the ones on the 41 imho

The 39mm OPs only lasted a few years (they had single indexes) then was replaced by current model. Who knows if the current design will last, or not. But at the very least, I would expect a few years before they may possibly change. And it may be longer since the current batch of OPs are very hot — this is the first time the OP has become an “allocation piece.”

It will probably be a few years before they make a change. In my opinion, those double batons disrupt what should be a very clean simple dial. They look out of place and should have just left a single baton like the previous model.

People are buying the colors and don't seem to care but from a visual perspective, it looks off to me.

Two years ago I was looking at the 36mm op with white dial, couldn’t get into double markers, bought the 39mm version, couldn’t be happier.

unlikely, why do you think they would drop to single in a couple years?

I am in love with my new red 41 OP.
The only thing I miss from my DJ (which I still have and will be going nowhere) is the Roman Numerals.
For whatever it might be worth I am happier with the double sticks than all single sticks.

I prefer the single indices but it's not bad the doubles once you see it in person.

Ask the aliens the aliens will know.

I have been reading a particular thread way too much.
