There's a guy asking $14,950 right now for one here in the classifieds.

I was just replying to the comment that billionaires do not buy OP's... which clearly some do... I don't know why but they do... yes, I'm sure Lebron wouldn't need to do much to get any watch he wants...

Umm.. The Oyster Perpetual line has huge history... You don't have Rolex without it. I agree with you that I do not think it is worth triple msrp either.

Also, those saying billionaires don't buy xx. Billionaires buy whatever they want. They are simply people with a lot of money.

Elon Musk, richest man on the planet, wears an Omega Aqua Terra 38mm. No Day Date, no Patek, no VC or gaudy AP Royal Oak. He wears an Omega Aqua Terra.

Got your point. But reading the below article, the OP model even though it was created a long while back, it doesnt have much notable history other than making mid-size or ladies models or some dial changes. The model's history really came back in 2014 with the new sizes and color assortment, which werent popular then. Also the name Oyster Perpetual is used with all their waterproof watches so I feel it takes away from the actual history of this line.

I blame the people paying these prices.

if you think you're mentally deficient to pay "crazy" money, do you also feel you're mentally deficient if you don't sell your watch for "crazy" money?

Seems like if the market premium is so significant to you, you'd think you're a fool to not sell.

Most (non WUS) people already think you're nuts for buying a 10k steel watch at retail. Now tell them it's worth 20k and you have no plans to sell it! lol. This whole hobby is nuts. Surprise!

artiana.com..... Not recommending them by any means. They kept postponing my visit to come and check the watch. They also sent me vague info as their "detailed condition report"...
