Its a lonely world, when the only place i can talk Rolex is here....tap...tap...tap...

Having someone at work to talk about Rolexes is fun...sorry...it's fun here....but still, interacting with another human being feels great..

i have 3 guys here at work, we talk, but one retired and during this pandemic...nobody!...

dude....good luck on the job and just think, one day you could have conversation with him about watches...

Wanted to provide an update. The hiring manager notified me that they are in the process of crafting an offer letter. Still negotiating some details but the comp review committee meets on Tuesdays and we missed the last meeting. Hoping to have the offer next Wednesday.

FYI - the watch will have nothing to do with my decision, just wanted to share an interesting observation.

It takes a Rolex lover to notice a Rolex watch on an interview.

Congratulations! Don’t pay any attention to the people that reacted negatively. Not sure why people get so upset over such things...

I always find it a bit awkward when I show up to my interviews with my rainbow Daytona and the person interviewing me is wearing a plebeian SS Daytona. I really need to stop doing this.

That's the joy of wearing a Patek.. NOBODY in my industry has a clue what it is.

Looks like you were cool and not overly stressed to have noticed his Rolex. That's usually a good sign that comes across, even on teleconferencing.

Reminds me of the story about Joe Montana in the closing minutes of Super Bowl XXIII, where he spots John Candy in the stands just before he leads the 49ers to the game winning touchdown drive. Cool under pressure.
