I’ve shifted my opinion on this over the years. The GMT is a great one and only, and perhaps a few years ago I’d have answered the same.

It’s highly subjective, but for my lifestyle the Submariner is probably all I’d ever need. I find I use the bezel for timing about as much as any function on a watch

A Submariner. It could be a one and only.

My sub has been my go to for the last 5 years now, but I just picked up a BLRO yesterday and I can see why so many people prefer the feel of the GMT. The jubilee is exceptionally comfortable and it does sit closer to the wrist than my sub. It might be a tough race, but i'll have a more accurate opinion when the honeymoon period ends with the BLRO.

Hahaha thanks! See that’s what I need. A red lens filter for the GoPro!! Or better yet Brian’s camera and steady hands underwater!!

No doubt about it, my 16710 BLRO is good for every occasion (work, travel, weekends, cooking, sports). It has hardly left my wrist over the past year.

I do concur that an OP36 or Exp 1 would be the ultimate one watch collection. The only place the Sub falls down is that it does scream ROLEX.

What I meant.... with the dive+ app you can treat old underwater photos extremely easy.
A red filter on your GoPro is good for future photos.

It’s the BLRO for me as well. I’ve worn it everyday for the past two years now and can say confidently it’s my favorite watch I’ve ever owned. It’s pretty close to perfect imo

I'm hoping to land on a Batman as my daily. That seems to be a great all-arounder.

had the Pepsi literally 1 week before coming to realization it is NOT for me. such bad colors on the bezel, dark blue, flat dead red, yuck I do not regret it. best daily is 16600 sea dweller.

Any Rolex with a date will suffice for a daily. Everything else is subjective.

I agree the pepsi is a wonderful watch, so is the classic sub - they are the quintessential rolex sports icons and rightly so.

However, as a truly versatile everyday watch that will be appropriate in any situation then an SS smooth/oyster datejust can't be topped. I doesn't matter if you're in a hoody or a dinner jacket, it will never look too sporty or too dressy for any situation - it will just blend. That, in some ways makes it the greatest SS rolex of all.

I’d go with an Explorer for one everyday watch.

Can I play? The other watches are mostly collecting dust since the arrival of the BB58:

I’d agree with you from a comfort perspective OP. I used to say Sub for an every occasion watch, but from a pure comfort perspective the GMT has won the #1 spot. The slimmer caseback and jubilee is an amazing combo.

Either a white/black dial OP39 or a smooth bezel DJ41 on oyster with PCLs brushed out.

I might have responded already, but definitely Submariner.

BLNR is a beautiful watch, but I just have no need for the GMT functionality.
