Anyone prefer easy link to glide lock?

My two goto watches atm are a sky dweller and a sea dweller.

For adjustment purposes I’ve come to the conclusion I prefer the easy link, seems to be just the right amount and one simple click out and it’s perfect either way.

I find myself fiddling with the glide lock a little too much I think just because the option is there and it is also a little more fiddly to get it onto the actual notch you want.

Both are great just a personal preference.

I have heard the deep sea glide lock works a little differently but I’ve not owned one myself.

I would prefer the glide lock if it needs to go over a 5mm dive suit. Because that would require 5mm on both anterior + posterior sides of the cuff for a total of 10mm.

Every other occasion. Easy link

I prefer the ez link as well. I pretty much never resize my watches unless im out in the summer heat for a couple of hours, then its just easier to pop the ez link out without taking the watch off my wrist. I find the glidelock is more cumbersome and requires taking the watch off of the wrist.

I do. It’s a lot faster and less fussy for what adjustments I make.

I think glide lock is probably better but I do enjoy easy link when you size it just right

I have both as well and prefer the Glidelock...sometimes I find the EL not finite enough...but as you say, personal preference

It's true. The external Glidelock of the Deep Sea is a real spoiler and I'd probably complain about a regular Glidelock at this point, woe is me

I prefer it because of it's small size and comfort, but the Glidelock is really great as well. Ideally, the mini glidelock would replace the easy link, although I haven't handled one in person so I can't say for certain.

I have a smaller wrist (6") and so the easy link is too much slack for me when I need an adjustment. Glidelock for me.

The DSSD glidelock is probably the best adjustable clasp ever made. Near instant micro adjustments without even removing the watch...it doesn't get better at any price.

Personally, I think glidelock is so much better. If you're in variable climates and need more than 5mm of flexibility you really can’t beat it. Once the bracelet is sized the likelihood that you will need to resize is slim to none.

Glidelock tech in a smaller clasp would be ideal for me.

I can see the benefits of both Jay. For me the all or nothing easy link doesn’t quite provide for an optimal fit, but the clasp is less chunky.

IMHO, a mini glidelock like they have on the YM OF, would be the ideal for all the non diver professionals

I prefer dual hidden 2 mm micro adjust and a flush clasp.

In Rolex, easy link works best for me since the clasp is smaller.

Glidelock - finer adjustment and larger when needed. 2mm to 20mm available.

Easy link’s 5mm is too much for some folks.

I’m a huge fan of the mini glide lock that’s on the SkyD OF, YM40 (126655), and the YM42 models. Rolex seriously needs to roll it out to the Daytona OF models.

I prefer EZ link, the sub clasp looks too long. At least the older 5 digit clasp they try to make it an oyster clasp.

Easy link is a great idea but for my wrist the adjust is too large, I never really used it. However the glide lock is perfect for me, just one notch in or out does the trick.

Easylink great. My Exp is the most comfortable watch I’ve owned and if it’s getting hot n sticky, simple to adjust without taking it off. The 5mm extension is perfect - it’s only worn extended for a short time until back into AC cooled environment. I found the glidelock to be big, bulky and fiddly.
