New Daytona sized and Rolex gift pics

Hi everyone. Hope everyone is having a great weekend. My wrist averages 7 inches, but I could only remove one link, leaving four on 6 o'clock side and seven on 12 o'clock side. On larger watches I usually leave 4 and 6, but appears the Daytona's smaller case required an extra link even with ez link extended and clasp set all the way out. I first tried 4/6 and all the way extended at clasp, both ez link and clasp position, but still a bit tight. With the 4/7 setup I set clasp to center setting and have ez link retracted centering clasp on wrist while giving room for growth. Lol. In summary, I feel bad for guys with large wrists that may have to buy extra links on a watch that is already quite expensive. As promised, some pics of watch pouch from Rolex and another wrist pic of course. Take care everyone!

Congratulations Blake. Looks great on you. Thanks for sharing.

My wrist is also 7 inches and I too only took out one link...which seems to be typical for me of late with the newer models.

Anyway, it's interesting that you have it in a 4/7 configuration. I have mine at 5/6. Most times the actual folding clasp is centered, but every now and then I feel that a 4/7 configuration would be more spot on. Just never had a watch with that much difference between 6 and 12 o'clock sides. Of course doesn't really matter since all wrists are different and never really concerned about centering the clasp too much. Anyway, end of the day I'm too lazy to switch out the links since it mostly works as is. Maybe one day I'll play around with it.

Congratulations again and all the best to you.

Thanks! Yeah, 4/7 is my most lopsided, but I have on center clasp setting, ez link retracted, and I go by the clasp portion that is against my wrist for centering and not the portion of clasp that you see when on wrist. It's not so lopsided when i have off the wrist, closed clasp, and then hold from the case to see how much further the 12 o'clock side hangs down. Like u said, all wrists are different. Mine is rather flat so I like to keep the inner portion of clasp centered on wrist for best comfort while resisting the watch head from rotating. I'm a perfectionist with sizing/fit, so you can imagine how tweaking oyster flex sizing was with me. Lol.

As a follow up, here are a couple of pics with 4/7 link config with middle clasp setting and ez link closed. Not as lopsided as it sounds. Using the inside portion of clasp, it's more like a 4/5 split as shown in first pic. This centers quite well on my flat wrist and isn't too tight like the 4/6 configuration with full extension at clasp.

Awesome. Thanks for the pics. That clasp location (and yep the full folding mechanism) looks great. And in the end, that's all the matters. (Either way, I agree...doesn't even look lopsided when off the wrist too.)

Enjoy the watch!

Already considering an oyster flex on this one with smartyendlinks. My yg pn dial is on of, but I think they are different enough to have of on both?
