Uhm... yeah NO. Call me a purist, call me something worse, but first, I feel modifying a true Rolex is sacrilege. That is just the way I feel. Now, getting past that first, huge, basic point, let’s take a couple other points. Someone please correct me if I’m wrong, but they modified that from a 3135 movement? So.... I guess you are sacrificing the date of the month for the phase of the moon? Do I have that right? IMHO, you will need the date function far more often then the phase of the moon function. Now how does it look? Over all, I think it is actually an attractive watch, and having a moon phase is a cool feature, but this rendition and (again IMHO) ruining a classic Rolex sub? Thumbs down.

Depends on what it is really. But yes, I’ve become suspicious of many things being sold as “progress”. I dislike most modern cars with their big screens and automatic transmissions and way too many distractions. I don’t like that watches are getting bigger and bigger.
But I like a lot of modern music. Great advances there really if you go look for it. So no, don’t like Bruce Springsteen and his attitude :-)

I hate nicknames for watches, but I got a good one for this.

The Joker. It’s ugly, it’s a joke, it’s a perfect name for it.

Saw a post on another forum where a guy posted a picture of Jack Nicholson as The Joker next to that watch. Perfect match.

What an amazing technical feat here. I’ve always loved these types of complications.
Blancpain is similarly bold, with the fusion of toolwatch legacy and complication(s).
