I have a 216570 polar but regret not picking up the black version. Nice duo Op. The new black is arguably a nicer looking watch, but the matte dial and phantom hands on the previous generation had a great tool watch vibe.

Nice.

But when the Exp2 gets a VIP event you know inventory is dry and the watch world is a mess. Haha

They said it was actually planned for when the ExpII was released last year but due to the pandemic it was postponed until now.

But yes, it’s a mess

That is one sweet event. I love the black dial EXP2.

Torn between EXP2 & the TT CHNR GMT2.

They used a similar design for an Explorer event in Hong Kong about three years ago. Looks like they ordered some extra links for that one: www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=696492

I love my Exp II Polar! So it's cool to see Rolex put on events like this for such a neat watch.

I also realize they aren't loved as dearly as the Subs, Daytonas, and others, but I'm fine with that. I tend to gravitate to references outside the standards.

Thanks for sharing.

I have a decent collection including some of the more sort after models but I still revert back to my Explorer 2 (black dial ) as my daily wear.
I think it’s a very underrated piece in the Rolex collection.

They don't advertise EXPII enough, let alone the black Exp II. It's a good thing!
