Wizardly, Congratulations on your new SubC 114060 I am happy for you. With the lighting of your photo the markers/indices appear to be yellow gold . I like the Rolex Boutique - Wimpe. Full retail price without any discount, however, if someone were to ask me I would certainly recommend Wempe - I was favorably impressed by the staff at both of their Fifth Avenue stores.

Like you, but with my Explorer, I have to have the links rearranged in order to have an equal number of links on each side of the bracelet. Wear your watch in a way that is most comfortable for you. It has be frequently said that Rolex bracelets are scratch magnets. Hopefully by wearing my watch high (up towards the elbow) I've reduced some scratch probabilities. So far it has been working for me.

I have also decided to get a SubC 114060 to wear alternatively with my Explorer - a good pairing for me. Not an easy decision because I really like both the Oystersteel and yellow gold Submariners with the blue or black dial models. Unfortunately, there are just too many places I travel through that either of those Submariners might cause a problem i.e, "I'm not complaining, it's the world we live in" by Mark Knopfler: Cleaning My Gun!

When viewing from side with watch horizontal, the crown's top faces at nine o'clock when tight. Fine by me. The bezel and dial are perfect. :)
