Obviously things can always change but were I a betting man I’d place money on a sharp increase in certain heavily demanded models in the near future.

To be clear, you’re saying that the price is going to be significantly increased soon on 4500v Overseas? Outside of the Blue dial, there isn’t much demand for the watch. Doesn’t seem like a great strategy overall.

There is a waiting list for all models at the boutiques.

I just placed a deposit on a Blue 4500V last week. Does anyone know if there is a price change, will I get the price at the time I placed the deposit or will they charge the new price?

Grey market pricing is not a good indicator of demand at the boutique for a thinly produced watch. Lange was same way.

Available at a discount but unavailable at AD in any specific configuration you might be after.

Example: last year when secondary pricing was up 50 people asked for a specific 4500V and now only 10 still want it but they will only receive 5 this year. Nothing has changed for the N+1st person who walks into the boutique and asks for one.

This is a perfect assessment. VC is not like Rolex where production is over a million pieces per year. The production at VC is low; there simply isn’t enough watches to meet the demand even if demand is lower.

To clarify - Vacheron cannot control supply or demand on the grey market. All they can act on is the fact that their waiting lists for all 4500V models are long. But their supply is limited. So, to reduce the waiting lists by “culling out” the buyers at lower price points, their only mechanism is to increase prices. It’s fundamental economics of balancing supply and demand curves. The current prices for the 4500V are well out of equilibrium based on this analogy so a significant price hike would be the obvious implication. Thanks

The new 4600 at 34.5mm seems like a good fit for my 6.25” wrist.

if its a boutique and you placed a deposit you should have the price locked so you shouldn't be affected by any rise.

Would've thougth the 4500v should be priced like an AP 15510st which is £23.9k in the UK (vs £21.7k for the 4500v).

Nice! Where did you order that leather straps if you don’t mind sharing? That’s from VC with the pin buckle?

You order directly from Vacheron mate, configure what you like here:

https://straps.vacheron-constantin.com

And then download the PDF and email it through to them and they take care of the rest. Takes about 5 months, however where else are you going to order a perfect fitting leather?

Looks like only alligator straps...have they discontinued the rubber straps in different colors?

Thank you!

Not sure if it is the effects of the honeymoon phase, but I can’t see myself taking this off to wear other pieces in my collection (Rolex, IWC, Panerai, JLC). This VCO may have just ruined every other watch!

I recently discovered the 37mm Overseas with small seconds and no diamonds – it’s tempting.

Does anyone have experience or wrist shots with it?

I can’t tell whether the bracket tapers a bit too dramatically from the case.

It's a great watch. I've held one at the boutique... the watch head to bracelet ratio seems close to the Chrono. Slightly more than a 4500V but not out of family.
