This is Rolex QC man. I've given up on expecting perfect QC on their watches.

Go check out the thread I started on Rolex Dials and their inconsistencies and scratches. You guys will have a heart attack.

My Pepsi is just over a year old, I have returned it to Rolex as it was losing 5 seconds a day, I though it would just need regulation, AD called me to advise it will be delayed getting back to me as it requires a new part for the movement, which needs to be ordered from Geneva as its out of stock in the UK.

I do find it odd that a year old Rolex requires new parts, they have advised me the part in question is a minute wheel, anyone know where this is located in the movement, or have an image that shows the minute wheel?

When I look at macro shots like the ones in the link bellow i know how amazing the QC is at Rolex. the quality and precision shown in these pictures exceeded my wildest imagination.

If this is not PERFECTION then I don't know what perfection is.

They are macro pics mostly of the metal. Go down into the hands/markers and dial itself.

You wont feel that way. Especially on dials/version where there are more places for QC issues like the painted GMT hand, sunburst dials etc...

You think like making a steel so perfectly curved and finished is easier than painting a hand or dial?
The are pictures of the dial too, they are impeccable.

Rotor noise....ever try a Patek? I often would flick my wrist on purpose to get the "whir" going...kind of like a fidget spinner for me

Total hogwash.
One of the benefits of being hard of hearing.
