Which discontinued Rolex would you want Rolex to bring back?

Which discontinued Rolex would you want Rolex to bring back?

I vote for the Paul Newman Daytona.

Root beer, on jubilee. And more generally, GMTs on jubilee.

ss gmt coke and/or pepsi with a jubilee option -- even in ceramic is fine.

Any sub/sd/gmt that had a matte dial. I love the look with no white gold surrounds.

6542 Bakelight GMT, but maybe lumed sapphire bezel instead of acrylic. Brushed bracelet of course and keep the proportions but bump up size to 42mm. Using current GMT 40mm proportions would work ok too and may appeal to more wrist sizes.

probably in the minority here but i would say none. While i am not into vintage watches, i suspect part of the appeal is that they are discontinued.

Getting a new watch that looks like an older style watch i just don't understand. Some brands do it all the time and i would either get the original vintage one or a completely new reference that isn't trying to be like a previous one.

Funny that this thread shows up today. Just yesterday a member posted a picture of a really nice-looking Daytona that I had never seen before. White dial, black sub-dials. Very thin bezel. I thought, hey, what a nice looking watch! In fact, the first chrono I actually liked the looks of.

Of course, a little research showed this rare vintage watch to be waaaay out of my price range, but if money was no object, I'd sport a Paul Newman Daytona in a heartbeat.

I would love to see a 41mm Datejust Thunderbird in TT and SS.

SS GMT Coke with a ceramic bezel or a Speed King with the dials from the SSC Bloodhound to commemorate breaking the land speed record (assuming it breaks it of course).

You can't go back; the modern company is marketing 'showy' watches to a different clientele. More successful than ever ...but far less charming. It happens.
If you could go back an original Milgaus would do the trick.

I agree, TOG, but fitted with the green date wheel and second hand, as was sold in Japan, I believe.
