That's awesome man, enjoy it, it looks great! I agree about the strap, I think it looks best this way.

Sweet!! Congratulations!
Can you share more info about the bracelet?
What did they offered? And were they offering as “complimentary”?

Most important thing: share a couple of additional pics of that beauty!!! Common mortals are still waiting

The chance of a quick £10k is too much for some.

It is a shame for those genuinely waiting but one look at Chrono 24 demonstrates the inevitability of trying to prevent profit taking.

Unless of course he just didn't "bond" with it

Agree with the feeling.

I guess you are free to do whatever you want with an object of your property.

As I guess we are free to say that flipping... it's a pretty sad practice. Especially tedious for the people that would like to get the watch to keep it and proudly wear it.

Agree, shame though.
But I suspect a lot of people on this forum would do the same.

How do you know he has flipped the watch? I trust you because the owner never denied it, but I am curious - where did you spot the watch for sale?

Yep, it’s also on the omega forums under his ‘real name’ TAZ101 - he has 2 accounts on here.

I knew this would happen. He has form for such things.....

That said, it’s the owners to do what they like with, so fair play. I suspect there are a few other flippers on here too who would do the same. Much of the hoo hah about this watch derives from the fact people thing they can make an easy 10 grand if they get one.

And look, I don't care what people do with their watches. You bought it, you have a right to sell it for whatever you think you can get for it. But DON'T come on a watch enthusiasts board with an incoming post showing off a watch and getting the usual "congrats" replies when you have not intention of keeping it. Sorry, that's just in bad taste and ignorant

His property and he can do what he wants, as others have said, but it is poor form to handle it the way he has.

Agreed - it’s poor form in my book! He did exactly the same with the first of the Apollo 11 watches. Helping with the hype and then when he gets one flogging it (on OF).

For the next hot watch, he’ll be back under another name (he has at least 3)

Exactly as others mentioned, if you're a flipper, fine, but don't pretend to be an enthusiast and excited about owning a watch you plan to sell.

Well, hopefully the watch doesn’t get sold here.
Or on another forum.
I don’t blame him for selling.
But if you are a flipper there is no need to be part of the forum.
Just flip it on C24 or go to a reseller.
Make your profit and that’s it. No?
What’s the reason for posting here?
Maybe you believe you’ll make a better gain on the forum...

... just sad.
But whatever, hot watches are calling for flippers. That’s the nature of the game.

Correct - if I was going to do that, I wouldn’t shit on my own doorstep. Just flog it to a reseller and bank a bit of profit or Chuck it on Chrono as you say....

Unfortunately it is now listed as sold.

These chancers masquerading on watch forums as horology fans do disappoint me but I suppose you will always attract an unsavoury element when easy money is on the table.

On the Omega forums they call it Pump and Dump!

The Apollo 11 50th. It matches very nicely in my opinion

Thank you. I'm waiting for mine to show up since last year. Already have the 50th Apollo 11, so can't wait to get this one and will definitely try the bracelet out.

For what it’s worth, the tech said they used shorter spring bars. I was talking to the manager so I didn’t ask the reason.
