OEM straps for the 5524G are 21/18mm with 3x2mm rectangular holes and No notch on the buckle end. Because of the clevis prong design of the buckle.

Thanks for the feedback. Is it true that regular stainless steel springbars will damage the gold case of the watch and that ideally I should reuse the springbars that came with the watch?

Yes, that’s why a gold watch has gold springbars

Do you happen to have a picture of your 5524 right next to your WG GMT? Trying to get a feel for size difference. Which do you enjoy wearing more?

Sure! 5524 is slightly bigger than meteorite but it’s comfortable so definitely not too big. They’re very different pieces. I prefer meteorite, but both awesome!

Hi Jorge,

I would like to send you a PM but it says your mail box is full. Is it possible to update so can send you my message (it is about straps for the 5524)!
Thanks
Marc.

5522A is very good looking timepiece and is LE, you are very lucky to have it. I think it’s the same size with 5524G/R. You can measure the lug width and the clasp width, it might be 21 and 18.

I also love to eat roast duck, I get it all the time when I go to Asian grocery store.

So I am thinking about adding a 5524 (not sure if white or yellow gold yet), but one thing I don't like about the watch is the strap.

@Jorge, I see you have changed yours - like the burgundy and blue straps you posted. May I ask where you sourced these from please.

Also what are your thoughts about the watch? Any pros or cons, and what do you think re gold colour?!!

Many thanks
Marc.

Wondering if the OEM strap of 6007A would fit 5524G? (21mm-18mm?)

Thanks!

I also have a BLRO meteorite and thinking of adding the 5524…curious, between the 2 which gets the most wrist time?

So sorry I been kind of checked out for a minute , and this reply is probably very , very late lol … anyhow 5524 is the watch for me , I had the G version before and now the R . Both are cool , I think is preference. As my only Patek I wanted to be colored gold, I guess if you have a Patek like calendar watch on colored gold then it would make sense to for the G.
As far as the straps , it’s been a minute but I Can find out if you still interested. I will clear my mailbox on Monday .
Cheers

Jorge

Rubber has its benefits but I prefer leather for feel and looks.

Oem omega nato

Anyone try the omega nato strap on the 5524? Curious how it fits.
