39 vs 40 Explorer Dial Layout, Finish and Proportions
Taking all minor differences into account, do you prefer the dial on the MK2 214270 or the new 224270 reference?
Some of the key differences are matte vs glossy finish, Explorer text at 6 vs 12 o’clock, and just the overall proportions

214270 mkII for me, mainly because of matte dial. Not a fan of gloss dials.
Also prefer the "Explorer" text at the bottom.

Of the two the 40 is better and more appropriately laid out but they’re both too big.
