Love my 124060 but a 16600 was my first Rolex and I reckon I’ll get another one. One of my favourites and also has me hankering to try a 116600.

So I have a few SDs as of now. A 43 and the 16600, I am completely obsessed with Rolex divers and want to expand the collection a bit more. I have yet to get a sub and was thinking due to how close it is to my 16600 looking at getting a 16610. I want to focus on vintage pieces so nothing modern here on out. How does the 16610 compare? Price wise, comfort, complete sets, etc. thanks!

I also have 114060 and a month ago bought a 16600 as well - 99 SWISS only dial, full set.

All the reasons stated above are correct and I like it a lot more than the SubC. I even see myself buying it again but a triple six with a matte dial as a next one. As everybody's said its a lot more special watch than most of the rest.

Just one more post to go and I am able to post pics of it :)

What did you end up with?

Love the 11610 and 16600…but the 14060 may be the perfect compromise.

The lume dot in the second hand is closer to the edge than normal.

I recently bought a 1992 Rolex 16610 and the second hand in it is the same as yours.

16610 or 16600

Have owned multiple iterations of 5 and 6 digit Subs, including the 16610. But I recently picked up a 16600 and it’s likely my favorite Rolex diver I’ve ever owned. Perfect watch.

Its the balance of all the things we love about Rolex. Great reference and 16600 isn't even a hot model somehow. Why chase AD heartache when these can be had for way less than a new model sub.
