Can you quote your source on the fact that white is the rarest?
Most people would not go by Chrono 24 for many facts.
Also the black dial Milgauss historically came in 2 versions, one with the green tint on the crystal, and the older version without the green tint.
Interested in your source.

I think it’s only the blue that will be sought after. Looking back in a few decades the green glass will be very special with that amazing blue dial. If it comes back I bet it will have ceramic bezel, clear glass and red second hand like the old ones.

Here is just one mention of the white dial Milgauss. Start at 5.00 minutes in.

The Z-blue Milgauss was my first Rolex. I had the chance to pick up a 2020 new old stock one a couple weeks ago and didn't, unfortunately.

Might I ask what the point of this post is? Are people supposed to think that your lack of interest in the Milgauss is important?

I don't care for Subs, or any other Rolex, but I respect and admire all the other Rolexes and the people who love them, and I wouldn't go around calling their watches silly names.

The Milgauss happens to be the only Rolex I was ever really interested in, and it has utility for me along with its beauty. I work around magnets, which have damaged other of my watches in the past. But most especially, the Milgauss, with its GV and cheeky second hand, is beauty to this beholder.

It’s simply my opinion. It’s a thread on the specific model. You state you like it, I state I don’t. Is your opinion more right than mine or vice versa? Nope. I’m glad you like it. I don’t like it. It’s not all that complicated.

Nope. But there's indifference, which is fine, and impishness, which is of questionable utility.

Call it what you will. The thread is about a discontinued model. I’m not sad to see it go. I’m also sorry that posts contrary to your opinion aren’t welcome.

It’s a free forum and people can say what they like, but stating something is just one’s opinion doesn’t make them any less of a jerk…

Just a general rule, not referring to anyone in particular…

I've always been a fan! I've had my white dial for years. My first Rolex. Sad to see it go, but I'm sure it will be back

It’s been eliminated before. There was nearly a 20 year gap between the 1019 Milgauss and the newest version.

Too bad. About the only other watch I remember from Nat Geo ads when I was a kid. There was the Submariner of course. And the Milgauss which was always in the setting of scientists who worked with particle accelerators (Believed they were referred to as "atom smashers" back in the day)

I'm sure there were other models (I do remember the early Sea Dweller ads too but as a kid I didn't understand the distinction and it looked like a sub).

Rolex stop Cellini too and make YM42 showcase new material technology and new creative art style in DD and OP. New direction is set and Milgauss fits in no place bye bye Z Blue so beautiful Milgauss never come back

I have the black face GV, love it. What else lets you carry a lighting bolt with you? I don’t think it will ever return.

2026 is the 70th Anniversary of the Milgauss. I think they will re- release then.

I'm sure Milguass will be back, but I'm also double sure that after the brief run of 5-6 years, it'll be again axed. Lol.

To each his own, I do think the Milgauss is a beauty and unique reference.
Was debating whether to let it go a while ago, but with this news now it’s definitely a keeper.

I'm originally a biochemist and in the 1980s I was involved (among other things) with NMR research which involved working in strong magnetic fields. I could see the rationale for something like a Milgauss but it's era has long passed.

I'm not sure that a Milgauss would have been inert in the environment I worked in but this is moot - I could barely afford a Casio back then. The version discontinued yesterday was not pushed as a scientific watch, more an homage to the original.

No. It got the boot for zero seconds before the next one was launched.

One of the few occasions (possibly the only one?) when those who said a model was going and those who said it wasn't were both right.

White produced for 9 years 2007 to 2016
Z Blue produced for 9 years 2014 to 2023
Black dial 16 years 2007 to 2023

Z Blue is more special because of GV green glass on blue. Both ZBlue and White were produced for 9 years, even if we assume more ZBlue were sold than white, the few thousand more won't matter much because the Milgauss with green GV glass is more special for collectors.

Interesting points.

Why would the Z Blue be more special than the black dial with the green tint crystal? Those were the only 2 models sold recently before being discontinued.
