No love for the "new" GMTs it seems

Lots of talk about the Daytona (obviously) and the clowndial OP, plus a few mentions of the new Exp 40, the SkyDewller and YM42, but nothing (AFAICT) about the new black and grey bezel GMTs.

Not surprised really as they look awful!

That said, I think the option of the TT and full YG Jubliees are the big news there.

Just think you have to be a big fan of YG to really like them. The old 116713LN was just never popular.

I'd actually love it if it didn't have the grey section on the bezel. All black and I would be singing its praises. The grey just looks washed out to me. (At least it does in pictures. Maybe better IRL)

…the black/grey bezel is 100% better than the black/brown one.

The black/grey bezel looked really terrible in Wei Koh's live stream this morning.

I quite like them but the TT looks quite "harsh" to me. Stark.

Purposeful, yes, almost brutal in a sense. But its not an elegant or classy watch in any way like the TT SD or Sub.

To be honest I think its the Jubilee bracelet. Works so well on the SS but not so much on the TT with YG (to my eyes)

Maybe its the pictures/renders. Might be nicer in the metal.

I’ll wait until they update the case and make the lugs smaller, thinking next year.

One man, one vote

The gold GMT is probably my favorite release in 2023, including all brands. To large and heavy for me. I wear a 1675 from the 1960's. But I think it looks awesome.

The lower half of the GMT bezel isn’t black, it’s grey.

Pass, that's some ugly half grey bezel. I think I even prefer that half marroon bezel from the Rootbeer.

Coke, Pepsi, Batman or Triple Black. VTNR at a push (if they made it RHD).

IMHO, YMMV.

They’ve already done this with the transition from 116710 to 126710. The lugs are thinner and at a different angle on the 12 series.

Same. I think it’s stunning.

The half-gray bezel is an interesting choice. In theory, might have preferred all black, but reserving judgment til I see it in the metal (assuming that’s ever possible etc).

I used to think that, but they didn’t do it enough. All I saw was lugs on my BLNR after my new sub, it needs an update.

I am not a fan of YG in general but I placed an order for the full YG GMT this evening. Its a stunner and will make a nice addition to my collection.

If the Day Date clown came in a 40mm i would have ordered that as well. Another awesome model IMHO.

Not a fan. It looks like they tried to force vintage design elements on a modern case. I was hoping for a jubilee on the current rootbeer.

Is the bracelet and case really darker than standard or are they just playing with the lighting?

Like the new bezel. A lot actually. Was hoping my OF prediction would be right; would have looked better IMO.

Full-PM Jubilee looks nice, too. What would have been really nice would be a gilt dial, all-steel version w/this bezel.
