LOL the ad I dealt with couple days ago, display all the popular sport models insider their VIP room with NOT FOR SALE sign as well. later the staff told me it's the owner collection. So I guess owner has 2 of each? one to wear one to display, LOL

Shrewd negotiations often begin with, “it’s not for sale . . .”

They shouldnt take a pic of you. And they should not be able to stop you from taking pic of the display as long as you are outside of the shop.
If they dont want any photo to be taken from outside so they can simply shut the doors close the business and go. Thats just incredible to limit people s freedom.

It's a good move to have NFS models for customers to try in and see of they really want to wait for an allocation.

Good work by Rolex and the AD I say

I was looking around the Singapore AD's a few days ago and they had a number of display watches... first time with a Hulk on my wrist.

It's very... green.

I always give my AD first shot at taking my money from me. So it will be useful for me to try something on, have a really good look at it, have some refreshments and nibbles and a chat with the SA, before being told they'll call me when the waiting list opens. Then I'll drive down the road and buy one from a non AD. Good service. Well done Rolex. Nice to be taken care of, even if they don't want my money.

About 10 days ago, only the Daytona was gone... BLNR and TT SD were still there... "for display only"

I have only seen that on replic watches.
My Daytonas from my AD were wrapped in plastic. My BLNR wasn’t. I guess some are and some aren’t wrapped like this.

Good idea at least you can try them on and see if you actually like the watch first

I passed through that terminal many times. Most efficient terminal in the world; customs have been replaced by machines. The X-ray, dont need you to take your laptop or electronic devices out. Never a single queue there because so many stations are open and youre directed to the one where it's your turn almost immediately.

And I've passed through that display many times too. They sometimes interchange the watches. Will snap a pic if I remember next time.

They belong to Rolex. Rolex has a set of display models they send around to ADs for display only. They cannot be sold by the AD because they belong to Rolex and Rolex rotates them.

The AD wraps them in plastic so when people try them on they don’t scratch the watches.

Usually the AD wraps models they keep in the back in plastic so when they try to get someone interested to bundle they can try on the watch without scratching it or finger prints etc. Usually the wrapped in plastic ones have been in the store and handled quite a bit.
