DRSD in Argyll Arcade

Having my usual monthly walk through the arcade expecting to see nothing & spotted this one in the laings pre-owned along with one of the new ceramic Pepsi GMT

Not sights you see every day in Glasgow. Maybe take a wonder by next week & see how fast there snapped up

Is that in the window of the Jewellery Cube? They have some interesting watches - last time I passed by they had a Rolex chronograph priced in the hundreds of thousands....

DRSD current prices

Is it me or is over £30k now normal for non paper Double Red's?
I have seen them above, but now seems like the norm.
Any opinions?

As you enter the arcade from Buchanan street end - it’s just after the mappin Webb windows.

My picture wasn’t the best as was a quick one without people noticing but watch looked nice in the window

It looks fairly correct from the photos, I’d have thought £30k for it if all correct.
Seems a bit strong but it us retail i suppose.

I Don’t think a good condition drsd with strong dial will struggle to sell at mid to high £30k’s...

Sothebys or Christies could tell you what it would sell for at auction.

And it depends on which type of appraisal you mean.
Retail/auction/private sale/insurance will all be different, up to maybe 60% different.

Even though you say you may sell, auction and private sale prices will be different, remember the final auction price may be 40% less than you actually get.

I agree, I personally couldn't buy or sell at auction knowing the money they are taking off both the buyer, and the seller. Profit is not a dirty word; profiteering definitely is.
