630-na
I'm new here. Nice site!
I had my bubbleback repaired (new balance staff) and the watch maker said my watch is a 630-NA or NA-630. This doesn't jibe with all the reference numbers I keep seeing. There is no number between the lugs at 12:00. There is a case number on the back - 199622, Stainless Steel, R.W.C. - the dial says - Rolex Oyster Perpetual - and at the bottom, Swiss Made. It appears it's from 1937. I'd like to be able to put a reference number to it, but does it have one? Thanks! ~Phil |

Your watchmaker was referring to the movement caliber. The earlier Oysters (pre-1940 or so) usually had the case reference number on the outer case back, with the case SN (yours appears to date from 1942-43 from that number, not the '30s), but yours probably has it marked on the inner case back. You can return to the watchmaker to have him open it for you.
Any pics? ;)
