black dial for Rolex Submariner #16613
I have a "x" build year(1991) SS and 18K gold Submariner, model # 16613, that I bought new. A couple of years ago I damaged the bezel insert and needed some other repairs done by a highly recommended non Rolex repair shop. Since I had owned the watch for almost 20 years I thought a bezel insert and dial color change might would make my watch look like new again. I'm assuming that the repair facility installed an aftermarket and/or refinished blue dial, because when I tried to send my watch to Rolex for repairs, they refused to service it. I think if I install a "genuine" black Rolex dial that they will service it. I've looked all around and see where there could be as many as three different dials available. They differ under the 6:00 luminous marker. One says Swiss, another says Swiss Made, and the one I originally had was Swiss-T < 25. Will Rolex care which one I install or does it have to have an identical one that it originally came with? I appreciate any help the members of the Forum can give..Skip
