I have a blue Datejust II and to me that and the Sky are just too similar. You can pickup a DJII for half the price of the Sky, and then get the SD43 too, everyone wins

I ended up selling it but maybe others can chime in. If others have the sky dweller with no issues where the bracelet meets the case. I don’t mean the lugs. I mean the actual bracelet to rounded part of the watch case.

And what about the gap between the crown and the case??
Anyone owning a Sky D, don’t look. What’s seen cannot be unseen.
I flipped my black dial SS SkyD after I felt it looked boring. No offence, but it looks like an ordinary DJ. Bought the 126711 CHNR instead.
So, I would choose SD43, since I still own it and love it.

Are you a blingy "look at me" kind of person, or functional "does it's job and looks good" kind of person?

I love the sky dweller's complication, but really cannot get past all the glitz and glam of the PCL, bezel, etc. But, if you like that stuff, then the Sky Dweller will be your huckleberry.

If only one I’d pick the 126600 because I’ve had one for a while now and love it.
However, I’ve had a Blue Sky-Dweller on order since it was released. So both is the best answer, such totally different watches, form and function.

Not really like the bezel of Sky-D. But love the dial. Thanks for the comments

This logic seems to sum things up for some people that buy Rolex these days, it doesn’t matter which one you prefer, features, looks or whatever but which ever one is hardest to get, for bragging rights I suppose, bizarre.

I really like the Skydweller but prefer the looks on the wrist of the SD43.

I owned both. Sold the SD43. The SkyD does I all. If I’m going to do any timing I’ll use a digital timer. The SkyD in PM overshadows the DD. The perfect everyday tool and dress watch.

I don't see a gap at all!
Here both in comparison. I vote for the SkyD but I like them both a lot!

The SD43 will be stealth as it looks like any other black Sub to most people. The fluted bezel is just the opposite as it puts on a light show. This is a personality question and not a watch question.
Sky-Dweller White Gold Bezel (Rolesor) incl. Links and EL = 179,7 grams

Sea Dweller all day long - rich history, Mk1 dial for 50th anniversary

Tool watch with wrist presence without the Vegas bling of that fluted bezel

Sky Dweller because I just bought one!

Also the AC/GMT complications are very useful to me. They’re handled and presented in such unique ways.
