Congratulations on your beautiful CHNR GMT! Just love the Rolex Everose gold and how it contrasts with the SS. Arguably the nicest Sports TT model ever. Enjoy your Root Beer and wear it in good health. Cheers!

Congratulations and thank you for sharing the wrist shots. I cannot wait to see this in person. I am due to pick one up soon! Glad I saw this thread as I am also contemplating purchasing a separate brushed bracelet from a Sub as I prefer the glidelock clasp. I think the investment of a brushed bracelet gives owners the option to tone down the watch should they choose or wear it in a classier fashion in its original form. I cannot wait to get mine!

I just got one of these today from a gray so I could see one in the flesh......I did so knowing I have the option of returning it.

It is really nice! It definitely is more subtle than the YG TT (I had a YG TT in the flesh a couple weeks ago). I think the 126711 looks much more "rich" on the wrist than the YG. Yes, the YG can be more flashy.....but it also can be mistaken for the used-car salesman fake Rolex due to the contrast between brushed SS and yellow gold. The 126711 will never be confused for that. The rose/copper-like tones blend REALLY well with the SS.....it's just a classy watch.

I really really want a full yellow gold 116718.....but not ready to spend that cash if it might be discontinued or get the new movement (as I might be able to get it for less then). I will wait until after Basel 2019 until I make a decision.

I am thinking of keeping the 126711 until then as I am pretty sure I can sell it for what I paid. My other option was to get the black dial SD....but I already have a 116710LN and I don't think the SD is different enough whereas the 126711 is.

I would have a problem deciding between the full rose gold and the TT rose gold with this watch, just because this is such a nice TT.
Yeah, the rose gold stripe down the middle of the bracelet is the hallmark of a Rolex two-tone watch!

I will probably not go for the full rose gold now haha....TT is enough for me

And the 70 hour power reserve with the new movement helps!
Is the case contour/design of this new GMT model different from say the BLNR model?
Yup, it exudes a different class from the normal SS watches (even the Patek's 5711 that I also own). If you are to own any TT watch, this is the one to acquire (until Rolex comes up with even more beautiful design in the future).

I'm hoping they will give me it... what's my chances do you think?
I am not sure about that though. I didn't get mine and the sales agent specifically mentioned no more bezel protector.

Ditto for me! I tried the BLRO but it doesn't click with me, unlike the TT Rootbeer.

Hmmm.....for me, I prefer the two-tone bracelet as I already have the steel bracelet on my Sub. Congratulations also on your acquisition soon! Wear it in good health and share the photos!

Rose Gold is more subdued and yet exudes more charm (at least to me personally). The price of the 126711 is pretty stable at the grey market right now (hovering around 25% above premium).

Bumping this thread up...after more than 1 year of use, my only regret is that this watch has not been enjoying as much wrist time as it should be as I am expanding my collection significantly this year (4 new watches so far!)

Waiting arrival of mine in 2020, can't wait as the watch looks sooooo good.

Delighted that you are enjoying the watch it really does look awesome, how are the polished gold centre links and clasp holding up, are they scratch magnets?

Congratulations and welcome to the "Rootbeer club".
The chocolate brown bezel and RG are a perfect combo. Love it.
Got mine a year ago, but took out a link of the bracelet and handed it over to my wife-to-be so she could try it on.
She considers it hers now. So be warned

I wear brown all the time, so the CHNR has always been a watch that catches my eye. Looks great and seems like you have a lot that will pair nicely with it! Congrats.

Brown is a very unique color for a watch I feel & as I wrote earlier, I much prefer the brown-black combination on the bezel to the blue-red combo of the BLRO.

And I did not hesitate to get one when given the chance to!

I would call and ask. I always ask for mine, but a couple rolexes ago, she brought out a box and offered extras if I needed them.
