Great collection, Nick! Sporting Life must love you lol.

I'm thinking of adding another one next winter. Maybe another Langford Parka in a different colour. I find the Admaral Blue extremely versatile:

Sounds like you where able to find something that works best for you. Really can't ask for anything more. With so many different possibilities hard to imagine any one thing working for every single person.

With regards to a lifetime warranty that is but one consideration I use but often that's not even a possibility anyway. Brand reputation and user experiences typically are as important if not more so anyway. I would imagine Woolrich excels with this regard. So if the warranty possibility exists it is but only one of the things I would consider but not the final determining factor. Besides Canada Goose does not cover normal wear and tear which normally for well constructed garments are the main reason they would need to be replaced anyway.

I would be very interested in hearing what you think when you get it.

Cheers,

Dan

I choose to go with three slightly different styles.

The Borden Bomber which they no longer sell. When compared to the Chilliwack this bomber fit me much better and it came with a removable fur which the Chilliwack did not.

A few years later I found a retailer discontinuing their relationship with Canada Goose so I decided to get a Parka the Expedition which I had considered earlier but now on sale I couldn't refuse.

Just picked up this last one the Forester about a week ago. Slightly different style and no hood.

I’ve had the Chilliwack Bomber for around 5 years. It’s been through a lot here and there and still looks as good as new. The quality is on point and their super comfy to wear, don’t feel the weight whilst it’s on! Love mine

Curious, have you had the need and have you cleaned yours yet and how since the fur cannot be removed?

Hi Dan, I haven’t had the need to clean it yet, as after every use I let it air dry for a few days. It doesn’t smell or show any marks. But I did pop into the Canada Goose flagship store in London and they did recommend a few dry cleaners who they associate with that will clean the jacket, regardless of whether the fur trim is removable or not

Good advice. Because a crapy dry cleaners could ruined the fur, and also the jacket

I always wondered what one would do with regards to cleaning one of these coats where the fur was not removeable. I figured it was possible although I think more care would be necessary. Good point about airing it out, I do the same as well.

Thanks,

Dan

I had mine cleaned twice already by a company specialised in cleaning down jackets.
No problem with the fur attached as on my Chilli.
The first dry cleaners I went wanted to remove the fur and sew it back on afterwards which I thought was not a good idea

Yeah, that's probably not the route I would take either.

For the Borden Bomber no worries as that can be taken off. However this is one feature I wish the Expedition had as well.

Thanks.

Just in case this hasn't come up or I failed to mention it. With Canada Goose they tend to make a limited number of coats per season. Their coats never go on sale. They only place I ever found a Canada Goose Coat on sale was at a retailer that stopped selling their product.

So anyway if you fail to get one early you may find that color or that specific coat unavailable until next year. At least that's been my experience.

Thank you for all your help between this thread and PM!

You’re also right on the money as far as selling out. The color size combo I was looking for are gone everywhere for both coats. Looks like I’ll be buying my coat this summer.

Sorry to hear and as I said in the PM it wasn’t until you said you were going to wait that I thought about posting this.

I would recommend checking around their authorized dealers just in case. Given the price these coats are known to be counterfeited so I wouldn’t purchase from eBay or a non-authorized retailer. Their coats actually come with certain tags and holograms and such to designate whether it is authentic or not.

Good luck.
