Don' fool youselfs. If you look at the posts of the lets 10 weeks or so. You will see they throw out posts in batches that are related. The last 2 weeks the Daytona the weeks before the Oyster Perpetual the weeks before the DD then some celebs and weeks before that the YM in everose.
If they start a batch with divers the next 2 weeks. You think we will see a new diver. Altho i would love to see a SS Daytona with ceramic bezel and racing dial, don't get me wrong. But we only know in a few weeks. Who would guess a everose YM on rubber strap 12 months ago

Titanium Daytona, with AR crystal.
I don't see them adding a date. They've had 50 years and not done it yet. But titanium would be very marketable with only slight tooling changes in case and bracelet machining. |

Just remember the Daytona 500 runs now so running Daytona ads on IG makes sense. That being said a reincarnation of the 6263 dials or PN dials would be awesome!

A Daytona issued with PN crosshair subdials would only be in PM and would be priced at £30-5K, maybe more if ceramic too. Very unlikely I think but would love and kill to see it.

biggest problem I have with the Daytona is it 'wears' small. Wonder if a ceramic version would wear bigger than the current SS versions kinda like the difference in the 16610 and 116610?

What about a grey dial Daytona? I think that would look great in any metal.

Just wondering, what if Ceramic Daytonas in SS, TT, YG and WG come out in Basel 2016, would the current Daytonas lose their value or them being of an icon?
Thanks. |

My guess (and it is a guess) would be that prices would initially take a hit due to demand for the new piece, then stabilise and eventually increase as they become less available on the market. Be interested what more informed members think though. This does of course assume there is a new model on the horizon.

It will be over ten years for a ceramic SS Daytona. As others have said already, it has to filter down through other PM first.

I have no doubt I will be on my own here when I say this, but I just can't help but think the mock-up images of the Daytona with black and white ceramic bezels make me think of Tag Heuer!
I love the current Daytona, however I don't like these images on what could be the forthcoming ceramic version. Perhaps if/when they come out I'll think differently once I've seen it in the flesh. |

IMHO, SS Daytona is not the model waiting to get 'ceramic update' unlike other sport models. Like some said, i would be more interested in movement or detail updates, if any.
I, however would love to see YG update... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Looks like a Daytona to me! Non-lume at 12'clock for crown.
Or a new chrono due to tricompax layout, obvious subdial at 6'clock. |

Just found this, I'm sure it's not new to many of you, and although it looks great but I'm also sure that Rolex won't repeat it self and get some old models again as they consider themselves as masters of innovation

Each to their own, but if the Daytona had a date I would not have bought mine. I detest the Cyclops.

Or subtle date display as the 6:00 marker. No cyclops, of course. Omega SM had puled this off nicely.
But I do t see a date on Daytona happening. |
