Let's see... Third bracelet fifth or sixth set of [sub dial] hands (kept falling off when I was skiing) Second crystal Third crown Second set of pushers second bezel assembly Bought in Salzburg, Austria in 1988 I think. Still have the Heuer marked box, and it had a Heuer crown and bracelet, so it was a "transitional" model. I learned about "TAG" when I bought it. I had to have the Heuer because I saw it all over the race cars when my Dad and I would watch the races on TV... (I attached a crappy, pre-restoration photo I found) |

Can a two tone blue Sub be my only watch?

Bluesy is perfect I think. Although I am in a list for a Daytona, I may downsize to bluesy.. As my second choice. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Yes, mine has had the pushers replaced, crown and seals replaced as well as the crystal I believe, was a $600 service several years ago, was probably crazy to pay that much, but it has sentimental value. Thanks for sharing.... |

I'll take a Bluesy any day over a Daytona, but I'm not a Daytona fan.

I have a white ceramic Daytona and find myself wearing the LB more. Much more. Almost daily. The blue dial is just mesmerizing even after years of wearing different variants of the LB. I’ve had PM DD’s, PP’s, etc. still nothing has captured my heart like the LB! There are times when I wear the Daytona or other SS pieces but always miss the LB. More so in the summer I think.

The Bluesy would be a great "only" watch, but if you want to play it safe the all stainless model is never a bad choice.

If I had to have only one Rolex (thank Dog that's never going to happen!) it would be a 16613. Only watch I could put on every day and it would bring a smile to my face.
It will be my next and probably last Rolex.
