Cartier Santos Rose Gold

Have never really given much thought to Cartier but lately have been looking at dressier watches. Stopped by and checked out this medium rose gold Santos on leather strap. Must say I really took a liking to it! Any owners?

I don’t own one, but I do notice them as well looking at watch displays. They’re great looking dress pieces and have some versatile straps also!

Very sharp pieces, I had a Santos chrono which was a really great piece just too brick thick.

I really like the watch and admire the Cartier brand. I have a friend who bought one at full retail from a local AD and after a short period of time wanted something else. The trade value was ridiculously low and many TS would not take the watch. I would do my research and look on Chrono24 for true value and pricing. At almost any price, if you buy it, you own it.

Like it a lot. SS did nothing for me after multiple attempts to warm up to it.

Cartier Santos Rose Gold

While it’s not a PM Santos, it is the rubber addition from 2010. It adds a bit of sport to an otherwise very dressy watch. I love wearing it. I recently had it serviced by Cartier and it was a very effortless process.

Oh absolutely. I wouldn’t never buy one new from the AD especially in PM.

One thing that keeps me interested in the brand is their approach to sales. Anytime I stop by a Cartier AD, always can try on as many watches as I want. There is no "shortage" or "there is one but you can't try it" fertilizer that I've experienced with you-know-what-brand. Somehow Cartier sales folks (just like Patek sales reps) are nice to chat with.

Well...expect an incoming on this shortly
Have never had a Cartier but I really fell in love with the color of their Rose (do not like Rolex Rose unless its broken by the ceramic bezel on the daytona). Probably won't be a forever watch and I'm sure I will get burned on the back end but no one ever said this obsession is cheap

I really hope with the newly announced Prive line that Cartier makes a new Santos Dumont that looks like and is a smaller size just like the older ones with a manual movement. Now that’s a watch I would buy (especially, even though they won’t, make it in steel).

The new Santos is great. Tried it on several times. Almost, but not quite for me. The quick change bracelet/strap feature is fantastic, assuming QC is good.

I've seen the RG skeleton dial RG version which was simply beautiful in person!

Congrats. That is really nice looking. Might be a scratch magnet, but enjoy wearing that one.

Congrats! Look into the straps for it. I’ve heard about the various straps for it.

Seriously bonding with this one through the week because I never wear my other PM’s to the office. Love it so far!

This thread inspired me! I stopped by the Cartier Maison in NY today and loved the RG 35mm in bracelet. Such a classy watch that I'd like to own to pass down one day. I really want to buy it, but at $33k, its a tough bullet to bite. Any recommendations for gray and discount? I need it this watch!

Love the Cartier Santos line, gorgeous in gold. If you own one you keep it, value retention low.
