With what you already have, I'd go with the sub. Both are beauties!

this is a hard one but i'd probably go with the day date because you already have a blue dial in your wg dd

also if you recently traded your 116613 i assume you got a bit tired of it? so the 618 would be way too similar in that case

Just a quick suggestion. Before you go with YG check out Everose outside on a cloudy day. Trust me on this one.

Personally I’m not a fan of hello gold watches however between your two choices I would pick the DD. By many it’s considered the Rolex flagship!

I went to an AD today. I am actually thinking about buying the same two watches, either a Day Date in yellow gold or a Sub in yellow gold, though I am looking at the black dial Sub. I am a little worried about the bezel on the Day Date. I feel like the Sub bezel may hold up a little better over time.

It depends. The blue sub you can see from a mile away. The DD bezel is shiny under any light.
I think the DD fits into more occasions. Can be worn with a suit and can be worn casually where as the blue sub isnt really a suitable candidate for a suit unless it's the LN.

you have a really nice collection, and a WG DD40 already. If fitment is not an issue with the DD you currently own, why not trade up the WG and the funds for your next acquisition, and go Platinum DD40...!

As someone mentioned earlier, I'd trade the WG DD for a smurf and get the YG DD.
