Bring Tudor LHD in SD4K and Tudor BBN family?

Question for everyone...

Now that Rolex has issued the SD43 Red, I can lay out my watch plan this year....

In terms of divers, I have SD4K and Tudor BBN (ETA) in the collection.

I was thinking about the SD43, but since trying it on I feel it is too 'big' and it didn't really sing to me. It was nice but I wasn't necessarily blown away by it and I prefer my SD4K more because of the size and lack of cyclops.

Looking at the Tudor LHD, it has piqued my interest:

• 42mm (marginally better size than SD43)
• Red
• kick butt tool watch
• numbered edition (for whatever that is worth)
• my 1st titanium
• my only LHD - and since I am truly left handed - it might be cool to have
• 1/3 price of SD43

Would having 3 divers be too much, too similar (look at other brands), or different enough?

There's no such thing as too many divers.

The LHD is just a stunning pure tool watch. The utilitarian aspect of it just sells it in my opinion. Can't go wrong with the blue either as Eliot mentioned above, but the LHD just really sang to me when I first saw the press release.

If three divers is too many divers I have a problem and need therapy.

The LHD is a great watch. Like the pop of red, like the artificial patina on the lume and the the pelagos wears very well. If you are a lefty I say it is a winner.
I like the blue and own the 2 line original Pelagos. Outside of the dssd it is the best clasp on the market imho.

To all Pelagos owner's - does titanium scratch easier or more resistant than Rolex's 904L steel? If titanium is scratched can it be polished out during service?

More durable imo. Less scratches. Bear in mind the pelagos clasp is ss.

904L stainless steel:
Tensile Strength - 490 MPa
Yield Strength - 220 MPa
Hardness - 192 Brinell scale

Titanium (Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5)
Tensile Strength - 1170 MPa
Yield Strength - 1100 MPa
Hardness - 379 Brinell scale

Wow cool! thanks!

So less scratches with titanium which is great but i assume this also means it is more difficult to polish out scratches out if it ever needed a clean up

I have not noticed any scratches on my Pelagos after 3 years and I beat the snot out of it. It is literally the watch input on when I think it is going to take a beating. I am sure there are some there just haven't bothered me like they do on other watches.

I tried on the Pelagos LHD... brought along my trusty SD4K for comparison purposes...

LHD is a solid robust watch. It definitely wears larger than my SD4K but doesn't look like it too big for the wrist...

It would be a sweet combo for sure!
