Question. I have a mk1 214270 from October 2014. In the next few years I expect it will be time for its first service.
Have any mk1 owners considered swapping the shorter hands at this time? The hands have never bothered me and I still feel the mk1 dial suits my style more. Just wondering if others have bad any thoughts on this. There must be a few that have already even in for a service. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Nice man congrats. A lil steep for me personally though if I had cash to throw about I’d do the exact same thing. Tryna get the best price I can though. Might have to settle for a 14270/114270 for around the £3k mark. Any known problems with the them particular models? Thanks.

Before acquiring mine, I thought the shorter would bother me but now not one bit. Grew on me. No issues telling time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I haven’t checked how accurate it is yet...but not enough to need to change the time yet. Yes...I went with the 36mm. I tried on the 39, but really like the smaller size better on my small wrist. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

you could just enjoy the watch OR check it by the atomic clock a few times per day. mine is incredibly accurate. it never gets a full second out, speed it up that little bit, lay it face down. slow it down that little bit, crown up. that's all mine ever needs once in awhile while i sleep. she started about +1 per day and now settled to maybe 1/4 sec per day. amazing. i have never tried on a 36 but would love to someday. enjoy your explorer.

I always forget to post pictures, but I took this the other day during a Mets game.
The Explorer was the first "real" watch I ever purchased; saved for 2 years to get it after college. I bought it without box or papers from a trusted seller I found on here (and that was stretching my budget!). The way the prices are now, it would've been too expensive for me. I'd have probably ended up with an IWC MK XVIII otherwise. I just can't imagine having chosen a better first watch and forever companion.

The 36mm generally going around the £3.5k mark. The 39mm around the £4K mark (pre owned). In your opinion do you think they will hold their value? Thank you.
