Wait for GMT. You won't regret it.

I would get the Tudor GMT, if you can get your hands on one at retail. Then you will have an awesome watch while you're waiting for the Rolex GMT and still have some money left to get it if/when it becomes available.

When it does, you will have an awesome combo and two fantastic watches. Win-win.

The 116710LN shouldn't be that hard to find so if that's what you want wait for it.

I found mine in June by calling my local ADs and one of them had just received one that wasn't spoken for.

This is tough, I know how frustrating this all is. The Tudor gmt is sooooo good. Maybe at this point, and out of boredom, I’d go that and the new wave sea master

Wait. I'm currently waiting for the same watch. I put my 25% deposit down about a month ago... If you are less concerned about having your own name on the warranty, you can still find a NIB model at retail+tax price from one of the trusted sellers. I would have, but I want to keep it and pass the watch down to my kid, so I'd like my name on there...

You want the Rolex.

Even if you try to, or believe you will convince yourself otherwise, you’ll likely regret getting anything else, and wish you waited for the Rolex. Look at it this way: it’s not an insignificant amount of money that you’re considering spending on a watch, so you should get exactly what you want.

Patience will reward you; do not compromise; do not waiver from your first choice.

Wait, you will always wonder if you don't......and eventually spend more money when the GMT becomes available.

I got the Tudor GMT and I am really happy with it. No longer have the itch for a GMT Master II. My itch is now for an Explorer I....

Not that it matters but my Tudor GMT has received more compliments from friends, coworkers, and strangers than any other watch I have ever owned. Random public seems to be having a very positive reaction to it. The watch has a lot of charm to it that is not captured in most online pictures.

GMT II LN for sure.

Ask this question on an Omega forum and you’ll probably get some differing viewpoints.

I'd definitely wait for the LN, it covers all the bases and you'd never have a second thought.

1. Tudor BB58 or Tudor Pepsi GMT

&

2. Omega Planet Ocean

For context I have a speedy pro on leather. Curious to hear what you guys think!

With your current lineup, I would definitely wait for the GMT. It'll be worth the wait :). LNs aren't as difficult to come by, I've seen 2 in stores recently.

I'm not so sure that's all true vs. an Omega. And honestly, what does popularity have to due with choosing ones watch. The buyer is the one looking at it.
As for value and resale.... I'm pretty sure that there are some good deals on the Omega to get the price in line...after that, there will be a bit of a hit, but after that, I'm not so sure. And nothing is certain with the Rolex down the road when the current demand/supply issue will likely be gone.

Warranty and Dependability vs the Omega? Hmmm. That movement on the Omega is pretty sweet.

Just points to consider. (and yes I own both brands)

Gmt Master II or......

LN is a classic. You will kick yourself for not getting it and will be reminded of that fact every time you look at your wrist and see something else.

Trust us, the Rolex is worth the wait and the LN isn't that hard to get hold of. In fact, I'd skip the AD and buy that one used and save yourself a pretty penny.

Nothing wrong with those other options but if you’ve taken the time to sign up for TRF, that means you really want a Rolex. Be persistent and get what you really want. No giving up and no substitutions
