Bosch season 3 Rolex

Just finished up season 3 and wondering what Rolex that Bosch is wearing. I keep thinking it's a Sub or a Seadweller but it has polished center links. Is it a GMT? Great show by the way.

I was also thinking GMT because of the PCL.

Looked like a GMT because of the PCLs and wide brown guards, but it seemed as though it had no date magnifier. Someone should tweet him and ask :)

I think it is supposed to look like a 16610. Obviously fake.

I don't think that actor would wear a fake Rolex.

Maybe not in real life, but fakes are commonly used for TV and film.

I also believe it to be fake. Looks like a Sub/SD, but it has PCLs as mentioned. In seasons 1-2 it was a similar watch but with brushed bracelet, so something changed.

Posted the same observations on the Bosch page of watchesinmovies.info. Definitely had PCLs, but wasn't able to see if it had a cyclops.

I was going to ask this here.

Seasons 1 + 2 he was def wearing a 16600.

Season three all of a sudden it looks like a knockoff seadweller with PCLs. Nobody but us would recognize it but I was pissed

Faithful Bosch watcher here. Looks like he has on a GMT.

I believe during the first to seasons he had on a Sub.

I respectfully disagree. I enjoy both series. What makes Bosch unwatchable, in Your opinion?

Definitely not Invicta. Bosch is supposed to be wealthy from selling tv/movie rights to one of His cases. Thus the amazing house and good watch.

I wouldn't go that far. It's not the same seadweller he wore in season 1 and I have to wonder if they swapped out his Rolex because the watch is directly referenced in season three.

Season 1 + 2 :16610

Season 3: this abomination

Because it's a homage. They switched it out. Looks at the case, the crown guards the general fit of the bracelet. It's crap.

I agree. As I said in post #11, invitca homage. Which is weird considering the back story of his wealth. Found this on the web.

It's very common for "replicas" to be used on TV and film owing to budget constraints. Especially a show where our protagonist is likely to be involved in fight scenes and various stunt scenarios. The cost of having to have multiple versions of each outfit for doubles/stand ins/in case of damage mounts up pretty quickly.

This is why James Bond wears Tom Ford, because a real bespoke Saville Row suit takes months to create and costs thousands. To make ten of each would take too long and cost too much. A fashion house has the economies of scale to be able to mass produce what they need, in budget. Plus they no doubt pay for the product placement, something Rolex do not do.

Agreed, but season 1 and season 2 looks like he was wearing the real deal. That's why we're all speculating. We noticed the change

I tweeted at Titus Welliver a year or two ago and he answered my watch-related questions pretty quickly.

I would guess that the one used in the first few seasons is his personal watch, while the newer one is just a reproduction for movie/film stunts

Not everyone is a WIS. I know dozens of very wealthy people who don't give a crap what they wear if they wear a watch at all, most of them wear something like a Casio or Seiko or Citizen but yet they drive an expensive car or live in a mansion. Yet I see posts here that ask whether is a good idea to finance the purchase of a watch.

What's that have to do with this?

No helium valve, date in the completely wrong place, sure ain't a Rolex. Does not really look like it has an Invicta logo either though.

For me the actor not suited to the role, just not selling it. .

Just read last ship's Eric Dane is taking a bit of time off for depression issues, hoping he gets sorted out.
looking forward to another season.

Read posts above my comment, there are members who said this fictional character is a wealthy individual who wouldn't wear a homage Invicta or a fake. Just saying being wealthy has nothing to do with ones choice of watches.
