Icon10 You know you have to re-evaluate your Rolex collecting 'problem' when...

you peruse the classy's and stumble on a watch you'd like to enquire on and then realize you already own the same watch but haven't worn it for over a year...

seriously -- just happened to me, and i really need to get an updated inventory list.

I've done that before. At least you like it enough to buy it again.

It's unlikely I'll have that problem before I become senile because I never own more than two Rolex watches at the same time.

Can you share more information? like the model etc? I can't fathom in forgetting a watch I own even if I haven't' worn that in years!!

16570 black dial.

i typically wear my white dial one and thought it would be nice to have a black one too; and then, well, we know what happened.

in my defence, a relative had it for a while and then returned it over xmas -- just went back in the box.

That happened to me too the other day, but it wasn't a watch, it was a pair of hiking socks. About to pull the trigger and then I had dejavu, of standing in the same section of Marshalls looking at socks. Lucky me, they were stuffed all the way in the back of the sock drawer.

It's basically the same thing.

Maybe it's a sign of enlightenment. The closest I've come is admiring pics of a watch I own with a momentary pause before realizing I own it. 19

CJ, I want to help... Send me the one you already own and go ahead and buy the new one. That way, you will not be depriving yourself of the thrill of a new Rolex!

No... no need to thank me buddy, just helping out a dear friend. I'll PM you my shipping address.
