SD43 and 2018 DSSD Comparison
In another thread someone asked me to compare the SD43 and 126660 DSSD sizes.
Here is a quick rundown. The bezels are identical in size at least according to my very cheap plastic calipers. ( Measurements are close approximations I’m not grabbing my metal calipers for these measurements) The case width including crown appears to be 1mm wider on the DSSD. The lug to lug length appears to be 1mm longer on the DSSD. The DSSD is 2mm thicker. Hope that’s useful. They are both beauties maybe a bit too similar for most but I’ll hang on to them. I find the DSSD to be a bit more legible especially without the cyclops. |

As far as wearability, is the DSSD a lot mor top heavy than the SD43 like the old DSSD?

Thanks for the info!
I had suspected the same bezel was used on both watches. |

As I said these aren’t the best calipers but I’d say those are pretty close measurements. The DSSD does wear a lot thicker and heavier but doesn’t seem too top heavy to me. |

Nice, thank you!
But would you say the SD43 does wear more comfortable than the Deepsea or is the Deepsea only heavier? |

SD43 and 2018 DSSD Comparison
Quote:
Neither is uncomfortable but yes I would say that the SD43 is a bit more comfortable. If I could have only one it would be the SD43. That said I think the DSSD is a perfect weekend watch. |

The SD43 is very comfortable. Also the SUB. But I have problems with my BLNR. The clasp presses because it isn't in the middle of my arm. Maybe I will sell the BLNR.. |

It may be the angle of how the DSSD is sitting in the first picture, but the bracelet looks thicker on the SD43.

Great review! I like the overall fit of the SD43 better but I do love the dial on the DSSD.

Nice comparison shots
I found the DBlue to be very comfortable as the caseback is slightly “flatter”. All in all though the SD43 won out for me. I’m still looking for a suitable replacement for my 166600 Dblue, maybe the 126660 |

For me sd43 wins , more comfortable and better legibility , the flat Matt dial without the ring lock and the Cyclops just does it for me - only my five bobs worth .

The DSSD has a flatter wider contact patch with the skin adding some comfort to this watch. But the weight of the DSSD makes its presence known. As someone else said, the DSSD is a blast to wear as a weekend watch.
