14060m NOS pricing?

Howdy!

I have a buddy whom is offering up a 14060m new old stock still in stickers with box but no papers or warranty card. Is $8000 a decent price for this?

Man that’s a real buzzkill for most buyers who are trying to source a NOS. Why would they pay extra at that point when it’s missing so much?

I’ll let others chime on on actual value

If buying to collect, one would look for the full set. If buying to wear, a mint and, thus, cheaper piece would make more sense than a stickered nos watch. I think your friend's watch is somewhat stuck between two goals for a potential buyer.

That being said, a nos and discontinued sports rolex is always a valuable watch, albeit not as much as it would be in a full kit. I think 8k sounds fair.

If you see that used and beat up watches ranging from early 90s to mid 2000s are already at 5-6k euro then I would think 6850 euro/8k USD is a very fair price.

What year is this from? If it's after 2010 I would definitely get it.

Get it before someone scoops it up! (If true NOS).

I think the price is a little high considering it is not a complete set. If you are planning to wear it, there are better options. If you are collecting, a future sale w/o documentation at a higher price could be a challenge.

I'm not really a NOS guy since I'd be peeling off those stickers and wearing it anyway, so no B&P would be a deal breaker with that price.

Kind of odd a relatively not so old watch still has stickers but not box and papers. I can maybe understand no papers, but no box? Odd

It might be a decent price for a stickered 14060M, buy why pay a premium for that watch with stickers, especially if you plan on wearing it? Would you just stick it in a safe? It's not even a full set.

If I were in the market for that reference, I'd just find a super clean unpolished version without stickers, and save a ton of money.

Exactly, the seller is in th middle.

Collectors won’t want this not being a full set
Somebody who is actually going to wear it, will buy a cheaper alternative perhaps with light wear

I would snap it off if it's a watch you're planning on keeping.

If you end up not wanting it, let this fellow Ag know, I'd jump all over it haha.

That sounds on par when you look at the coke and pepsi prices

I would do $7500, the price of a new no date. The no papers is kinda sketchy - you can buy replacement box/tags - so I wouldn’t believe it’s true NOS (that phrase is banned on some sites/forums as it’s difficult to verify).

Don’t feel too bad. If they’re the original purchaser they likely paid $4800 or less.
