Wow this is a tough one. I really like GMT's but this is a really tough call. I think if pressed I'd go Sky-Dweller. It's just a stunningly cool watch. Love the size, the fluted bezel on the oyster bracelet and the properly sized crown.
I'll be turning 50 in five years and feel like a two-tone Rolex is the logical choice for such a milestone. Fortunately for me that gives me 5 years to think about it because there are some really good choices. Good luck deciding and congrats on the milestone! |

CHNR by a long shot. The copper color is great in person and the center links almost disappear to black in bright sunlight.

Root beer is my preference of the two. Also, DavidSW is the man! Very easy to do business with

That's a tough one. For me, it would depend on what else is in the collection,i.e., if you have another GMT, then I might go Sky.
But, I prefer the black and white options a little more. |

Prefer the GMT but the SkyD with a white face is nice too. Not a fan of champagne dials.

I think the GMT can play the sport/dress role a little better. GMT for me.

I have a TT GMT so I’m a fan. The new CHNR is beautiful but between it and the TT skydweller, the skydweller wins out for me especially if you spend a lot time in suits and blazers.

Some say that Rolex Everrose is to pink and looks to much like copper.
On a TT it is more subtle. Your attire above would lend itself better to the SKy D, but since the GMT also has PCLs it is a tough call I’m done with Yellow gold, so it’s WG or RG, and I don’t do TT I like 40mm so I would go with the GMT

As much as I like the skydweller as a tool, I think I would prefer a SS or any Gold version over the TT version. The GMT is a classic and therefor hard to dismiss and the rose gold version has something. It’s overall a bit more bulky and tool watch but of the two, that’s where I would go. And I love a a gmt. Also to consider, maybe, is a classic root beer, a bit more pronounced and fun...

I will go CHNR but a lot of it has to do with the SkyD having too much wrist presence for daily wear for my smaller wrists

GMT no doubt, but the SkyD is definitely on the dressier side.

Between those two get the GMT. IMHO the SkyD is little more than a large weird-looking DJ. If you really want a dressier TT why not just get a DJ41?

The CHNR appeals to me quite a lot.
The Sky Dweller is a great piece, but the GMT more than fulfills my needs for a multi-time-zone piece and I have too many watches to ever need an annual calendar.

GMT cause I have one. I’m not a fan of that dial color on the Skydweller, the white face looks the best to me with the red accents. The other variations minimize the month ring too much for my liking.
