Then I’m sorry to say that you’re not being given the correct information.

If I had black I'd keep black. Probably.

I still don't understand why they didn't update the 116719 blue dial movement to the new one though...

Probably 'coz they got a ton of 'em left and want to use up all the old stock first.

Does anyone else feel Rolex shafted the white gold BLRO owners by bringing out the stainless version with a black face. Now the white gold owners have to change to a blue dial to differentiate their PM watch from a stainless steel version. I think I would be upset if I bought a PM BLRO.

Checked with Official Rolex Service Center Singapore, they will charge the dial and the replacement service. The total cost is around S$990. (US$720).

It seems that different policy for each country.

So I called Rolex Service in Dallas and NYC and both said if the watch is out of warranty they would change the dial. If the watch is less than 5yrs old they would not change the dial.

Really hard to believe as Rolex, of late, has discouraged dial changes. Rolex USA will not change out a dial on a watch until the 5 year warranty has run or the watch needs to be opened for some warranty issue.

Exactly. I actually bought mine after I picked up my SS Pepsi.
Mine was one of the new blue dial models.

Confirmed as well. I have both and to be honest new 126710BLRO looks like a 116719BLRO. That says it all. WG is the master, SS is trying to look alike.

Can’t wait to see the first thread where someone has modded a LN or BLNR with the blue dial and red hand.

I just don’t understand why Rolex wouldn’t put the new movement in the more expensive gold model as well. Seems like a slap in the face.

The funny thing about the blue dial is it looks black unless it's in almost direct light. So, if you don't care for the blue, just turn your wrist

I took a photo of my BLRO with and without the flash to demonstrate what I'm talking about. I also happen to think the blue dial absolutely improves the beauty of the watch, but it really helps to see it in person. I wasn't sold until the AD pulled it out of the box.

I believe you, the LVc dial is the same, very dark green when indoors and only bursts alive right in the sunlight.

IMO, the 116719 BLRO with blue dial is unquestionably the nicest Rolex watch ever.

I would be very happy if Rolex had kept the Black Dial on the 116719 and released the 126710 with the Blue Dial
I would too, why would you want to change it back to black too ?

Wow, stunning.
That clearly changed my mind. Definitely would pick the blue given the option. I have a D-Blue and in most indoor lighting it looks black so I can imagine this does the same.

This is Dr Tom’s very polite and diplomatic way of saying “do you buy the watch for yourself or showing of to other people” ? ;)

For a change it would be so refreshing if Rolex decides to make an identical watch in two different metals, one being SS and other WG. Only the owner would know, pure pure class!
