Finally, I got it...

I've wanted a Rolex since the first time I can remember seeing one in person. The man wearing it just looked of success, carried himself well and as a young teen it made me aspire to be like that man. After 4.5-5 years of 12 hour days, no Saturdays, no vacations and minimal full weekends I felt like a "small " treat would've been nice to gift myself. While a DD40 is my grail watch, I think for 24 years old I'm not doing too bad, plus I think she's an absolute beauty.

I've been on this forum for I think about 5 years just admiring and cheering everyone on silently, and after a long 1.5 month wait my day came today. I never in my wildest dreams of me being able to afford a Rolex in my entire life, let alone at 24. I am NOT trying to brag. I am simply trying to say that the saying while cliche, still holds true "You can achieve anything in life" and the million other ways to say it.

My next huge toy is hopefully whatever the 488 is ~10ish years from now ;) Much

success and great week to everyone!

Congrats on the DJ! You picked an excellent configuration for your first Rolex!

Also - assuming you're a fellow finance guy (based on the work hours and location). Nice to see another one around here

What a great Rolex. It took me twice that time to get my first one and it feels amazing! Enjoy it — it’s a beauty!

Congratulations Bud! You've done something at 24 what others haven't done by 30. Kudos and wear it well.
