Your new Oysterflex PM Daytona is my favorite in the line up but...the Mitsukoshi dial Speedmaster is a show-stopper. I hope you can keep it.

Nice! I still kicked myself for not buying that 35th Anv Apollo XI panda Speedmaster when it was only $2600 out of the door brandnew (now, it's around +$10,000)! The sale lady showed me 2 Speedmaster and I picked the blue one, she told me why not buy both...I should have!

Here's my blue Speedmaster with the SS Daytona

Rolex investors, please stay here and drool over the SS Daytona and SS BLRO that you cannot have, there's nothing interesting over the Omega forums, LOL

Do you know the current asking price for a Mitsukoshi dial Speedmaster?

I was looking it up a few months back it was going for about $1000 dial plus hands. Let me know if you want the link to the website selling the kit.

However, if you are looking for the Mitsukoshi Speedmaster Japan version then it'll probably run you between $8-10K.

Great combo! Nice.

Is that the 38mm GP Laureato Chrono?

If you can only have one, I think you're making the right choice. A great problem to have, I guess. Or not! -- The Omega does have a lot going for it in it's own right! Good luck!

I don't know if the 116519 can be considered a true panda simply because the dial isn't white, but it's probably my favorite Rolex dial of all time...

I have three that I suppose could be in the panda category: Omega Ck2998 (blue panda), vintage Tudor Big Block 79180 (sort of a sideways panda), and the 116509, which I just got a couple of weeks ago. And as much as I still like and admire the first two, the 509 is maybe the king and queen, sun and moon, of dials, IMO.

There was only 300 of the limited edition Mitsukoshis, the last one I've seen for sale was several years ago. The supply of OEM dials and hands is almost dried up too since Omega has effectively cut off independents with parts accounts. I sourced them from a guy in the Bay Area for $750 and my watchmaker charged me $150 to swap them out on my late model Moonwatch.

You’re definitely right Chadri - the wg Daytona not technically a true panda but it’s kinda close! Still waiting for the SS white dial to come in - hopefully this purchase will push me up the list! It’s definitely hard not to keep staring at the watch all day! I honestly have to be kinda conscientious about it as to not look like a tool always admiring the darned thing!
