Incoming...Exploring my First Rolex

After years of agonizing over which model I wanted, I pulled the trigger today on and joined the Rolex owner’s club with a 214270 Explorer at my local AD.

I’m heading out of town tomorrow so I’m having it sent to my vacation destination, ready to make some memories together.

It honestly feels like a burden has been lifted off my shoulders and I can stop the incessant researching of forums, articles and YouTube, and get back to real life. (At least until the next scratch comes my way)

Can’t wait to pick it up on Friday!

Did the same with this model late 2017. it really is a super timepiece.
You'll look down at your wrist and realise you're uncontrollably smiling to yourself.

It just keeps happening.....there, I just did it again.

Congratulations.

Congrats. May I ask why you are having it sent somewhere you are going instead of wearing it there?

Perfect decision!!
I recently picked one up as well. Decades ago had a 1969 1016 that I had destroyed with a strong magnetic field at work. Always wanted to replace it, so as you just did, lifted the burden and picked up the 39.

Enjoy your holiday!

It was worth the wait!

It’s a classic, looks great on you, and what else that you buy in 2018 can still be giving you pleasure in 25 years?

Funny you mention that. You can’t tell due to my cropping of the photo but I actually had a giant smile on my face while looking at it

I saved myself from paying taxes by shipping it out of state.

Just under 6.75”. The 36mm would have worked too but I wanted that new car smell lol
