Check out this auction, the seller sttes it was issued by the US Navy and worn during the Vietnam War, is that true,

If you look at the sellers other items, he shows a 1675 that has a similar situation with the hands. Do you think this is OK or is it too much of a coincidence to feel comfortable with bidding?
