Maybe some experts can weigh in but that watch does not look authentic to me. Insert, dial, hands, date...everything looks off

so.....20 years ago, your "dad" "found" a watch of a model that was just released in 2013?
Smell a troll....

don't need an expert to see that this story is just as fake as that watch is....

Additionally, one does not simply "lose" a Rolex in a drawer for 20 years. It just doesn't happen.

okay, I wasn't feeling comfortable to say that my Dad has passed away last month so I made up the story, wanting to get an answer that I asked. The truth was my Mum in Macau was collecting my Dad's remains. She sent me the picture yesterday and asked me if the watch can be repaired. I obviously know nothing about Rolex so I wanted to ask before I went in to the service center. I said he bought 20 years ago because I saw a receipt backed in 1990 but it's a different watch, so I assumed he bought this one as well at the similar period. I guess I don't need to go in to the Rolex servicing center then. Thank you all for taking a look.

And sorry for the made up story.

I haven't been here long but I noticed that...

99% chance it's bad news when new join date with low post count makes first thread in this section.

I guess finding a Rolex inside your dad would be the worst case scenario here
