Congratulations! A watch with “legs”... it still seems so “fresh” and modern.

I bought my 5711 5-6 years ago new from another AD when they were not so hard to track down. I just called an AD near family I was visiting and they actually had one in the store. I tried it on and bought it as my first Patek. Even at that time, it was pretty lucky, but I didn't realize at the time.

As for the AD I bought the Aquanaut from, I have a decent relationship, having bought a used 5146p and a new Cartier as a gift in the last couple of years. They definitely have more important customers but they know I like watches and I check in regularly on pieces I am interested in.

So, to answer your question, not sure if the wait is average over all, but probably is average for someone who has a decent relationship. I doubt I would have gotten one if it was the first watch I was trying to buy from them.

Yeah, agree completely. Having never worn one previously I had no idea. Substantial yet comfortable. Really good value vs. other pieces at this price point imo.

Congrats, love the waych, but, I won't pay the secondary market prices and don't want a two year plus wait for one at an AD. Instead their week I bought am AP offshore diver, because I wanted a watch on a rubber strap. So far loving the AP. I don't think I will see the same excitement or pricing on this piece in the future, but that's OK, I bought it for my enjoyment, not investment value.
