what do you all think would work for the 5196r... I don’t need a gold buckle. The idea would be if I could save the original strap and wear something nice, like above, without the worry about the clasp getting nicked. I know, the rose gold clasp would matches the rose gold 5196r... but who cares. I’m not sure the grey would go well with the rose gold.

It is because the bezel is super thin. Although I have never measured to compare, I would reckon that the ‘dial’ of the 5196 is probably larger than the typical 40mm Rolex or Patek sports watches out there (due to the width of the bezel). Plenty of side-by-side pictures on Instagram. 37mm for a watch with a thin bezel is not small at all.
