By far the best PP dial, possibly same as in the platinum Nautilus.

Since getting my first TT, a SD 43 I am into TTs, so I would like this, just wish the bracelet was not so spotty in design, Rolex have the edge here.

Agree, commonly seen in ADs a few years ago. But then again so was everything else. Though these were the laggard Nautilus then.

Some watches photograph well and don’t look as good on and vice versa. Great example the Rolex DJ 41 with blue dial fluted bezel and jubilee. Owned one and sold it, didn’t measure up to the photos on my wrist. This Nautilus doesn’t look near as good in photos but on the wrist it is gorgeous with a true presence the stainless versions don’t have, but it does cost almost twice as much from an AD. I am considering selling my 5164 and 5712. At the day a watch is very personal.

Try one on if you can before you decide On the other hand you just saved yourself 70k and a multi year wait from a US AD or 95k from a US grey. To each his own.

Truthfully, this is because Patek knows that the demand for the 5980/1AR is low. Coupled with the low production of the Naut, and they just simply don't allocate many of these.
