Have you guys tried on the 3-hander? If so, how does the DT compare?

I tried all 3 models.

The 3 hander is slimmer and feels bigger than DT on the wrist although both are same size. Very comfortable too. Guess boils down to your preference for a clean dial or otherwise.

Took a pic previously. Hope that helps

Is it me or are these the best bargains in the watch world right now? The design is beautiful, haute Horology movement, in many ways more functional than its PP and AP rivals with the interchangeable straps\bracelets, and attainable for sane numbers. Also something not common at all. What am I missing?

Not redundant! I have chrono and 3 hander- go for it! But fifty six is awesome too :)

Yup. I finally put a deposit down for a DT. During my search for the watch, most ADs already have a waitlist or are not taking any new orders. Seems like collectors are starting got migrate to VC.

What is the waiting period? Presumably no discount to RRP.

Tried on today, still thinking of the following few options.

This blue , previous white dial , or fiftysix day date.

Any input is welcome

I believe the movement of the Overseas lineup is completely in house whereas the fifty six is not. Please correct me if I’m wrong, and that may or may not matter to you.

For the Fifty-Six lineup, only the « simple » self winding model comes with an updated « not in-house » and « not Poinçon de Genève » movement.
The Other models comes with Vacheron Constantin’s in-house calibers and Poinçon de Genève finishing (both case and movement).

I do not remember well but the Self Winding model, which is the entry level for Vacheron Constantin, comes with an updated (by Vacheron Constantin) movement from Val-Fleurier or Cartier.
To be checked.

I really have admired VC Overseas for a while now, have tried on the current and previous iterations but I really think they are constantly overpricing their watches and now increasing the prices even further. For a the date Overseas at USD22k I think there's much better value in the market elsewhere. And don't get me started on their World time overseas...

Get the blue overseas. These are going up quickly. If you don't like it you can sell it for no worse than what you paid. That being said...it's an amazing watch and I can't recommend it enough.

Sir I'm interested in why you think they are overpriced?

I just purchased my first VC Overseas in BLK this weekend at a watch show/event and I ordered a blue one. The watches are stunning. They are huge value for the watch the company is over 270yrs old and they have all in-house movements.

I perfer Vacheron overseas over the nautilus or royal oak. Just me...

Understand from the boutique that blue dial should be a boutique exclusive going forward. If you are not bias towards any of the 3 options, then go for the blue. It should be more difficult to get in future.

Interesting- from a business point of view that makes sense, especially if they reduce production, which is what other companies seem to do.

Was just 19.6 before October 1. I know because I got it right before the bump.
Went up 1200 or 1300. Perfect timing.

Pretty crazy increases IMO. MSRP was in the 18s last year, and I was able to discount to under 17k/no tax while on vacation. Looks like this model is getting the attention it deserves, with prices reflective of it.

I got an unbelievable deal for mine on Christmas eve '19 from a grey dealer who got it from a neighboring AD.

Official vacheron overseas thread!!

Just joined the club today. I remember seeing the overseas on Cory Richards’s wrist in the print ads awhile back, and ever since I was hooked. I traded in a Rolex Datejust 41 everose/steel Wimbledon Dial and I do not regret it one bit.

I took some quick snaps today. Sorry not the greatest pics.
