How can the news be anything but negative? I'm not saying you're wrong about the outcome.

Perhaps check out South Korean news and then check out the shelves in South Korean grocery stores and get back to me on that one. :-)

Our Costco was well stocked today. Only thing I noticed missing was TP, eggs and chicken.

I'm not sure where we are disagreeing, and not quite sure what I need to get back to you on

Ours in Tampa was fully stocked also. Something about no chicken or eggs though. Tons of beef but no chicken. What’s up with that? And forget about toilet paper. LOL. I think someone cornered the market on that stuff.

South Korean news reports the news. It’s actually quite helpful and informative. American news sensationalizes it over and over and over and over again. It’s not the news. It’s rampant out of control emotion with tidbits of information and mostly the kind that creates fear. That’s how I see it.

Exactly. Lots of beef. They had eggs before I got there but ran out.

I will go out on a limb here with an opinion. By the way, it’s fueled by nothing stronger than hot cocoa.

IMHO, the fruit is not ripe for picking. At least not in the US. Too soon for alarmist rhetoric.

I am not someone who feels that no matter what officials do, the outcome will be the same because it's somehow inevitable. I do not think we are powerless against the coronavirus spread.

We are halfway into the US 15-day push to control the outbreak. Especially strong lockdown orders are in place for several hotspots. Additional resources will be deployed to them. Remember we can flatten the infection curve while at the same time bend the medical capacity line upward.

Let’s keep our collective spirits up - the negative future events predicted by fatalists may not occur as anticipated.

Give this another week to see if it budges like a bracelet’s balky screw in a removable link.

You know, apply heat and a bit more effort...

Amen. Well put.

By the way. Are you hoarding all the chicken? :-)

A little levity doesn’t hurt.

They have the best dogs ever. Easy. Most certainly the cleanest.

But I suppose also the most expensive.

Forgive me if I don't find the empty shelves a joking matter. A family member can't get food. I hope this is temporary for Pensacola, and I hope it's not a sign for things to come in other areas.

Please don’t take this wrong way...

Your family member will find plenty of food on the other aisles. My brother in law lives there too. He told me today that certain items are out of stock but there is plenty of food.

Come on now. There's at least 28 hot dogs right there!

Guess what I'm eating tomorrow? Hot dogs. Stores aren't full in Vegas either. Just trying to make the best of a crazy situation, no hard feelings intended.

It’s 7 miles from center of town.

I was able to put in my Walmart App shopping cart over 5 lbs of 80/20 ground meat, 15 lbs of whole chicken and the same amount of pork roasts.

( I removed them of course )

But 2 other Walmart’s had none of the above.

I'm not sure... I just saw those two pics and jumped to a conclusion prematurely perhaps.

Edit: my wife said that he said they were out of the staples - no rice, beans, meats, chicken, oils, etc... but the plus side, he was able to get some TP.

She sent him the message from PaulG. Much appreciated.

Raleigh hospital in NC sent out an alert asking for PPE donations from the public. They are running short on supplies.

In the next week we will see how bad this is.

My SIL lives in TX, near Houston and days they haven't seen chicken in 3 weeks or hamburger in 2 weeks. They are having issues filling prescriptions too. Hopefully the supply is picking up.
